2.3l stroker reliability. How many miles on yours?
It sounds like a lot but that is everything, complete from valve cover to oil pan. My car is currently at CBRD and when I found I needed a new bottom end I started researching like mad. It came down to 2 options, an AMS $10k 2.3 and a CBRD 2.3 for just over $8k. While both sound like a lot compared to a Buschur 2.3 it is really much closer when you take everything into perspective. You have to consider the cost of the block and oil pump and water pump, etc...... Even a Buschur 2.3 RPM will get up there when you factor everything in. I ended up choosing a CBRD 2.3 since they are building the whole car and they also have built some good motors. In the end it is maybe $1k less than the AMS bottom end.
As far as reliability is concerned mine only lasted under 3k miles but I don't think it was the engine producer's fault.
