Stock internals

I have a similar setup. I have a bbk full with stock internals. Like everyone stated, keep the torque below 400 and it should be fine.

Does the small turbo produce more torque down low, which effects the stock internals?

Yes
Small turbo tend to have peak torque very early and your OE rod does not like that
Rule of thumb is ~400ft/lb or so for stock internal car(Dynojet #)
A FP Red is probably equal to something like GTX3071 or GTX3076 power wise

Maybe a silly question but is 400ft/lb towards the wheels or engine?

I love my FP green... its the old version though... i'm making 425whp/385wtq stock motor with a rebuilt head with springs, cams, retainers, lifters, etc. Its a FANTASTIC turbo. I highly recommend it.. And in terms of stock motor... 400wtq is where tuners decide to cap 4g63 AND 4b11t... its all in the toon I track the living hell out of my car and it hasnt failed me yet

3582 is almost identical to an fp black.

I made 506whp on the green stock engine with the exception of comp 280 cams and a kiggly hla.

All about keeping the spoolup curve and max torque down via timing, afr's, and ecu controlled boost.

good #'s stock block... if you have a smooth progressive torque curve you should be fine!
