FP Green
FP Green
Alright guys, so I went to a shop yesterday and spoke to the owner of Velocity factor here in South Florida. He has an evo 8 with an FP Green turbo, Air Intake Pipe to Turbo, Forge Diverter Valve, Full 3 in Turbo Back exhaust, Downpipe, Cat delete Pipe, Injectors, Fuel Pump, Greddy Front Mount Intercooler with upper and Lower intercooler Pipes, Upgraded clutch and Flywheel, and a Tune set to 27PSI and He said his car put 425 AWHP on a Mustang Dyno. Now I was quite surprised that he hit this amount of power with the FP Green on Pump gas and he has the stock cams and the entire Internals of the motor are completely stock. Is it really possible to net this kind of AWHP on a Mustang Dyno with these Mods? Or is He just trying to sell me Some parts?
highest pump on an MD for the green I've found is about 380.

What do you mean by "all the goodies"? If by that you mean cams, EMS, etc. then I am pretty sure there are a couple cars that made over 400whp on Buschur's Mustang dyno.
See that's kinda why I was suprised when he told me he made 425AWHP without cams on pump gas and not even using Meth on the stock internals. Lets say he had Intake Manifold, throttle body and a Ported FP Green. Would those numbers then be more realistic?
No. He's lying.

im so sick & tired of people quoting dyno numbers as absolute.
Dyno numbers are relative numbers to show gains specifically to your car & environment, not as a general number that can be compared to all vehicles in the world.
Dyno your car stock, then dyno it again after you have modded it to see what those mods did.. that is what a dyno is for, to show your own progression as its relative to you & only your car.
Mustang, dynojet.. whatever.... its all relative & can be manipulated.

Very few Green setups are hitting 400+ on pump gas, and that's on a Dynojet. 27psi on a Green - he probably forgot to mention that he's running meth injection as well...
South Florida, it was probably on TTP's dyno, which has proven itself here over and over to yield dynojet-like numbers. So, yes, he probably DID make those numbers, and they were probably also corrected. 425 on their dyno is like 375 on most other mustangs in the country.
Don't believe everything you read or hear, and carry a large shovel to get through the BS.
side note: NO knock on TTP, they put out good stuff! Ask the guy what a STOCK evo puts down on that exact dyno.

well it wasn't at TTP. The shop that he got the car Dynoed at is called Japtrix in West Palm Beach. That's where I got my car dynoed and they have a mustang dyno there as well. I mean, if he had cams then I would possibly believe him but he said it has the stock cams.
Then their mustang reads high as well, you have 300whp@23psi listed in your sig, but no cams. Not super likely on a VIII w/o cams
(on a standard low reading mustang). 270whp is more likely.
