Question IACV issues - 2003 Evo

Long time no see everyone.

I've had Idle Air Control Valve issues for a couple years now and couldn't afford the crazy price at the time so we just pulled the throttle cable a little tighter so it idles slightly higher and keeps it from stalling while warming up.

Currently I was investigating prices and whatnot in order to actually replace the part and properly solve the problem but I'm having a hard time finding the part. What I mean is that the prices are all over the place. I find a few that seem to list 2006 Evo as a valid year model for replacement and the price is super cheap at $50 or less. I then find what appears to be the same exact part but it actually lists my year model and those are almost $300 yet they all look almost identical.

Does anyone have any suggestions more consistent than the results turned up by numerous searches on the web?

Thanks

Excellent suggestion. No issues since install?

And wouldn't you know that I failed to see this other post from back in January.

Wondering how that went for them as well.

The following is the same part as the one in the post above yet at the rock bottom price of $22. Might take a stab at it.

I used a cheap one, and it worked great for about 30k miles before failing.

HA, I'm glad I came upon this thread, my car's been idling like crap for about a month. I cleaned out my iacv yesterday, and now my won't idle at all. Then I saw the pics, and noticed that mine was missing the plunger when I took it out. (rolls eyes) Just ordered one from ebay now.

Thanks guys
