Shifter movement in 1st and 2nd gear

I just installed a rebuilt 6 spd transmission and new OEM cluth kit on my 06 MR. The shifter moves back and forth a bit when I'm in first and second gear, letting on and off the clutch. I have Torque Solutions underhood and base bushings. It did not do this with the old transmission in it. Thanks for the help/advice gents. I know that manual transmission cars do experience this, but it's just annoying and didn't do this before.

My car does this also. Interested to hear why if anyone has an idea. My car is 5 speed though.

I had that problem in my car once, there was more and more slop in the shifter when it was in gear until eventually i couldn't even get it into reverse. The bracket that holds the shifter cables in place was loose, after I tightened it up it shifted fine.

See I had thought about messing around with that bracket. I know it's tight though. I may just loosen it and then re-secure it. I'm having problems getting into reverse also. 6spd woes....

Its where the shifter cables go thru the cradle on the shifter. Im sure the clip that holds them down is worn. Happen to me at IFO and I just zipped them down for the event and went back and safety wired them down.

Under the metal bracket where the 2 cables go thru the plastic wall of the shifter assembly

I do believe that it's on the transmission side. I popped the cables off of the shifter assembly and duplicated moving the car in 1st gear, and the cables moved while they were off of the shifter.
