Trans/Diff/Tcase fluid question

Hey Guys,

So I have a question about some fluids for the drive train. All fluids are Redline

Transmission:
I have always run redline (Cocktail) 2 MT-90 and 1 MTL. (part# 50304, 50204)
Is the cocktail better to run or should I just run 3 qts of MT-85? (part# 50504)

T-Case:
Do we have any oil coolers or anything that runs through with the T-Case fluids?
I was looking to Run the redline Lightweight shockproof fluids and you should not run them if the car has a coolor or anything. Its a great fluid. (part# 58404)

RearDiff:
Would it be bad for me to run the lightweight shockproof in my rear diff? (part# 58404)

any help is greatly appreciated. I do not want to hear Oh why dont you run Diaqueen? Why dont you run Amsoil.... This is what I run it works great just looking to change things up a bit.

Thank You,

I tried both MT85 and the cocktail. Both are similar but I preferred the cocktail slightly.

Thank you for the info! As for the Tcase and rear diff. Do you know if I can use the Shockproof oil? I feel like with the way our rear diff bangs in the evo sometimes it would be good to run. And from the sound of it, it works wonders! They said they run it in the Harley VTwins and its amazing because of how hard Harleys Bang gears.

I would look at the TRE, Shep, Jack's et all recommend for fluids and follow their recommendations regarding the tcase and rear diff.

I've used redline and amsoil in the past and have ended up using oem
On my race car.

Occasionally I use motul 300v in the transmission but that's about it.

Straight from jacks transmission.

EVO 8-10:
•For the t-case, the recommended fluid for stock to mid horsepower level street cars is the OEM DIAQUEEN Mitsubishi part# 3775610. For high horsepower and/or drag use, we recommend running Redline Heavyweight ShockProof(Red).
•For the rear diff, we recommend the factory Mitsubishi rear diff oil as the LSD clutch packs will no longer work correctly if you use Shockproof.

Shockproof in trans:

Absolutely DO NOT use Redline Shockproof in your transmission!

So what do you think.

Lightweight shockproof in the Tcase as its 500hp street car that I drag race in maybe 3x a year? instead of the heavyweight and OEM in the trans and rear diff?

Diaqueen works awesome in the Transfercase and Rear Diff no matter the power level/type of racing. Both are consistent and get the job done. I use Motul 300v in my transmission. I prefer it over both Redline MT-85 and the Redline cocktail.

Its right around 3qt's, technically 2.9. Part #MOU 3178CZ. I bought it from Rally Sport Direct.

too much threads with the same topic...
However the only consistent feedback is T-case and Rear Diff is Diaqueen. I'll only change Rear-Diff between Redline Redline 80W140 GL-5 or 75W90 GL-5. Check TRE web page and Jack transmission web pages, cross reference the oil recommendations. no better way to decide which one is better for you.

Send me some links and I can merge them to make them easier to find. People are inherently lazy, so unless these old topics are easy to find you can expect new threads about old **** to show up time and time again.

If anyone is looking into doing a full fluid change on their car I would look into Rally Sport Direct for your fluids. I changed the oil/fluids in my motor, transmission, transfercase, rear diff, and brakes for right around 200 bucks, I paid $200.84. They also ship for free when your order is over $200. I ordered a 5L container of Penrite 10W-40 E85 racing oil for my motor, three 1L bottles Motul 300v for the transmision, two 1L bottles of Diaqueen for the tcase and rear diff, and two 1L bottles of Motul RBF600 brake fluid...all shipped to my door in two days after ordering for free.
