It just goes lean and misfires. Car is SD tuned.
Car was boosting fine but had a fuel pump issue with hot starts.
Turns out it was my external pump (ams surge tank) verified this by tapping the surge tank when the idle started to go lean/die. Tapping it fixed it.
Replaced the pump now it wont free rev past 3k. Hot starts great now tho :O
Tps wont read past 50% floored while misfiring. However with the car not running but key on it will read 99.9%

 

Vale mode? I see you said you had it floored while the key was in and on...Hope it is something simple.

 

The CEL does blink(flash quickly) at me for about 3 seconds before it starts but goes away and shows no engine codes when i do a dtc scan. I seem to recall it being solid in the past without the flashing but I could be wrong.
Found out sparktech charges 25$ to bench test a ign box so might send it in....

 

Check if your tank is rusty. Debris will block the fuel filter/damage the pump and cause this behavior (assuming it also runs lean while driving). Just went through the same issue with a car last week.

 

Turn the key to the on position. Hold the gas pedal to the floor for ten seconds then release the pedal. Turn off the car and turn it back on. The cell should blink slowly. You are out of valet mode and you should be free to drive again. Hope that works.

 

How do you put it in valet mode in the first place? lol

 

You just need to turn the key to on, put gas pedal down for 10 seconds like they said, this triggers valet mode in thepra..

Just repeat and its out.

 

Well that was the trick... either that or disconnecting the battery. Car drives great now.

 

Is this something built into the stock ECU? Never heard of it before

 

It is part of the Tephra mods. It would be awesome if it was stock.
