Wierd RPM change

Lately when I’m driving in 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th ill floor it and my rpms will be at 3 and then it will shoot up extremely quick to 4 and stay there for a sec or drop back down to 3,500. It’s been acting weird like that and I’ve never noticed it. I know its not the guages because it sounds as if i am letting off the gas. I would like to have an idea of what it could be before I take it in to

So, is it when you get on the gas and start building boost the engine actually revs up and the car goes no faster? If thats the case I would say it's the clutch.

its your clutch, and it will get worse, might as well schedule a warranty job at your dealer, or think about buying aftermarket so it doesn't keep happening.

Yeah, Thats what I'm talking about it sounds like the clutch is slipping. Do you ever launch the car hard or slip the clutch?
P.S. if it is the clutch good luck getting that covered under warranty.
