42 people had viewed this, I bet 50/50 are either WTF is he asking, and the others just curious..

Cam setting spec?

I imagine you're either asking about the actual tuning map or adv/retard of a cam gear(s)?

You should specify so someone can actually answer your question.

Good luck.

I am curious...how much hp or driveablity am I missing without properly dialing the cams?
if not much, is hp/driveability more evident as power climbs?

Most Evo cams are installed at 0. Advance/retard cam gears is usually a fix for an improperly ground cam. GSC are very good.

There are other cases that my need adjustable cam gears, 4g64, block/head were surfaced a lot. things like that but usually no adjustable gears are needed.

Hi KPR, thanks for sharing and my head and block deck have been skim 0.20mm.
Yes, im using adjustable cam gears.

Im now building 2.3L stock head & block with 4G64 crank (100mm), Wiseco 8.5.1 + BC Ibeam rods.

Do i still degree the cams as per GSC cams spec?

They have tested S2 cams with cam gear and found that dialed 0/0 with a degree wheel according to the cam spec card was the best overall performance.

The GSC cams are timed very intelligently right out of the box for street/strip applications. There is little need to invest in cam gears unless perhaps one has a stroker engine in a dedicated track car, and wants to squeeze every last bit of power from it.
