590 ft lbs in one of our motors, I presume someone has done more in others. I have done 630 ft lbs on H beams in general and anything over the 590 we recommend I beams.

No rod manufacturer I know claims that H beams are stronger than I beams. Lighter yes, stronger no.

@4:40 seems like he says I beam is good for stock or moderately modified vehicle, however if you want to make more horsepower the H beam is where to go.... In a way according to them, they claim H is stronger then I? Or I'm still understand wrong, I may do 2.3 & want to make sure I have stronger rods.

Going from an OEM I-beam (which is typically powdered metal these days.), to an aftermarket H-beam is an upgrade. However, an aftermarket I-beam rod is typically stronger than its I-beam counter part.

I windowed a block with H-beams and ~600ft/lbs on a 2.4

I had it at 500ft/lbs for a long time but as soon as I got close to 600 it was a wrap.

Anyone who intends to make a 4-cyl engine generate 500+ ft/lb through a set of rebranded Chinese H-beam rods (e.g. Manley, Eagle, BC, etc.) I regard as one who likes to gamble.

I would still do the I-beams.

Like Ted mentioned above, I "gambled" with those rods but It was a spare block I used for the winter (when I used to DD the car). I kept upping the boost until it finally gave.

You have to take in consideration that we dont live in a perfect world and if one thing goes wrong and combustion pressure spikes thsoe rods will be the weakest link.
