1/2 filled block streetable????
I want to know this soon. I should be building my block soon. I no longer daily it but i do drive it around to meets and what not. But i am looking for a 9 sec pass down the road.
The greatest proportion of heat in the block is generated in the upper half of the cylinder walls. This makes concreting the lower half of a block relatively forgiving for street use so long as the engine isn't plagued with cooling inconsistencies by design, and the water and oil cooling systems are up to snuff.

Mine was a daily when I owned it. It sits a little more now since my roommate picked it up but it still gets driven long distances without the oil temps going over 195* cruising nor coolant temps getting excessively cool.
