Car won't start.

Alright guys or gals. So I've had my blue Evo 8 for going on a month and a half or 2 months. It's had 68,xxx on it when I got it. Now it has 69,xxx. So not much driving. But anyways every once in awhile I will get in it to start the car and all the lights will come on i.e. Dash lights, gauges, turbo timer. But it just won't start. I don't hear anything in the engine area sounding like it's trying to turn over. The fuel pump kicks on and you can hear it running. If anyone has and information for me that would be awesome. Maybe the old owner is on here because I bought it from a dealership in jacksonville, fl and talking to the old owner would be nice but that's a different story. I'm really new to the whole Evo and Mitsubishi thing as well. But any help you guys can give will be greatly appreciated.

Check your starter and then ignition switch, then maybe clutch switch. That will be a good start.

Have you checked the battery itself for volts? Some batteries lose their cranking amps as the battery ages but still provide enough power to power the dash and lights, but lights are faint. Happened to me

I'm going to check those things out thanks guys. Is there any like really easy ways to check the ignition switch? One thing me and my friend have looked at has been the crankshaft position sensor. That's what he is thinking is wrong with it. But who knows it might be a few different things. Thank you again everyone. If anyone can think of anything else that might be causing it, or any other tips feel free to comment.

Does it have an aftermarket alarm system?

Yes it does. It has a viper alarm system in it. That was another thing that my friend was thinking about. Was maybe the alarm system was causing it to not start.

Awesome man! Thank you very much, unfortunately I'm not home at the moment I'm in the Navy and on a ship and we are currently floating around for about a month. But as soon as I get home I will have to do some diggin and see if I can get that to work. I really appreciate the helpful info!
