Installing DS front axle seal. Tips and advice needed.

I'm battling a leaking seal and finally got a new one in. How far should it be pressed in and all other information you guys could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Just pop it in to the little ridge on the side not all the way in, seems like it would pop out there but I went through like 4 seals trying to get it to stop leaking. I kept thinking I ruined the seal but looked around on the forum and found I was pushing it in too far. Went in to the little ridge and I've been leak free for about a year now. Just lube up the inside with a lil grease to prevent damage when you put the axle back in and make sure there's no sharp edges on the part of the axle that touches the seal and make sure the "cup" is nice and round with no dents.

Got it put in this morning, drove home and parked it, came out several hours later, nothing was on the ground. How ever a large portion on leaked out before the install waiting for the seal to come in so I only had a little on hand to take to the shop to put in after he got thr axle in from it leaking out. Anyways it sat for sevseveral hours like I said and there was nothing on the ground and I got some more fluid as I didn't know how much was actually in the trans. I only had one jack stand so I jacked up thr driver side obviously and filled it till it started to run out and gave it just a little time to drip out of the fill hole. I drove it to the gym and noticed that it had started leaking some after I put more fluid in it... is it possible that the seal is ****ed up again? Or maybe just too much fluid since the driver side was in the air that there was too much fluid and it's causing some pressure and pushing it out?
