Anyone had this problem?

I've driven my EVO 8 about 750 miles, it had 7 miles when I bought it last week. The drive train has some whine to it which I figured was normal being all wheel drive. The last 200 miles when I turn a corner there's kind of a groaning noise coming from the front, like maybe a bad CV joint. Also there a shuddering coming from the rear on tight turns, like the ltd slip diff is chattering. I've pretty much been babying it with an occasional burst to redline after the 500 mile break in was done. I've never dumped the clutch yet. None of these noises while turning tight turns happened until recently. Any ideas?
thanks

Take it in and have them check the transmission, transfer case and differential fluid levels. You might even see if they would be willing to change the fluids for you at their cost; if there are broken gears, changing the fluids should drop some metal bits into the drain pan. What you're hearing doesn't sound normal.

I'm not saying anything's wrong with your car, but take it from me, and a few others on this board. Babying your EVO makes no difference from driving it hard, if it's a lemon from the start, it will fulfill it's destiny eventually

Yea, I'm planning on taking it in ASAP. Just trying to find out if this has been a problem. I'm expecting them to change the fluids and call it good. I've never in my life had a good dealership service experience. Sounds like a CV Joint or front wheel bearing and the rear Diff to me. I'll eventually drive it hard, but I usually follow the break in instructions before hand.
thanks

Let us know if it ends up being our transfer case. Some of these cars are lemons straight from the factory.

Got an appointment to bring it in Friday. This dealer has only sold 5-6 Evos counting mine and a re-poed one they have on the floor.
They are unaware of any TC problems and claim to have had no previous serious warranty issues.
