And yes I just mean a recirculating valve is okay but one that vents to atmosphere makes MAF cars run poorly.
diverter valve: where is that and what is a BISS???

Actually idle and cruise are vacuum and run closed loop from the O2 sensor. The ECU would compensate. Fuel trims would be way off, though. Under boost, in open loop, it would run rich, though.
