Evo 8 GSR '03 Transmission Trouble
Evo 8 GSR '03 Transmission Trouble
Hey guys,
I just bought a used Evo a month ago and couple of days ago I struggled with putting it in gear. Clutch felt ok, but I tried bleeding it.
Clutch is not fully engaging..
Still can't get it in any gears. I've been searching on this forum already, but found no solution.
What can be broken? Clutch is aftermarket.
Thanks
Vemund

Can you tell if it's push or pull type clutch release? Either the clutch master or slave could be leaking internally. You would never see a drop of fluid on the ground, and bleeding would make no difference. You might try bleeding it one more time, anyway. It's a low cost fix attempt. Also, is the pedal pretty firm at the top of the stroke? If not, then air may still be in there. If you can get another set on hands to help, you can get your friend to press the clutch pedal while you watch the pressure plate/clutch release. If your friend holds the pedal down and the plate springs move, it's likely leaking internally (one of them. Differentiating between them is not something I know how to do). Hope that helps you out some. Good luck.
