Advice on Synthetic Tranny Fluid Changeover- Evo 9 MR
Hey guys,
I've been reading up on what sort of tranny fluid I should be using for the 6-speed. I'm trying to baby it since it seems to be made of paper mache. I'm aware that it uses Diaqueen from the factory. On another thread on here I found a recommendation for MOPAR synthetic fluid, which is supposed to be a direct replacement for the Diaqueen, with the exception of being synthetic. It's 75W-85, GL-4, and significantly cheaper than Diaqueen at 25 dollars a quart.
I picked up three quarts today, and I wanted to see what sort of procedure, if any, you guys would recommend for switching to synthetic. Also wanted to see if any of you guys have any experience with the MOPAR fluid. It's not too late for me to return this stuff if it's a poor idea, but it seems to be a direct replacement.
Thanks.
