Denso IKH24 @ 0.024 replacing factory plugs.

When I get off of work I will try 0.020 gap.

It sat with a 1/4 tank or less. I started it every other month, let it get to temp. During the break in I completely emptied the tank, refilled. Gasoline (93 oct)

Update:
Got the misfire fixed, car is ready to run full throttle once again.

Fix (as best as I can tell):
SpoolinUp COP - Coil issue, maybe spark blowout.

Story:
I tried fresh plugs gapped at 0.024, new coil boots and wires. Same issue with each "fix". The car sat while I traveled for work. I decided to upgrade my coils instead of buy new OEM units.

After I installed the new SpoolinUp COP, the car would crank and not start. Which was a horribly irritating and new problem. I removed the COP, tested the wiring of the kit with the help of SpoolinUp. Re-installed the factory coils and it still didn't start.

After much swearing I noticed that I had a CEL (none had presented yet with just misfires). I threw a P0355 - Camshaft Sensor. This was why it wouldn't start but crank.

I walked through the wiring, twisted the cables, wiggled, inspected. Then tried to start, and she came to life.

My assumption is while moving the wiring around I moved something I shouldn't have, loosened a corroded contact, etc. What I hate is that I will likely have this crop up again!

That being said, I took it for a test drive and it ran like a champ! Misfire gone, codes cleared and gone (fingers crossed).

Should I freak out that I have a Camshaft Sensor problem? What could happen if it fails or the cabling fails again?

Well, unplug the sensor, inspect it and make sure it looks good. Maybe order a new one if you have the cash, and keep it in the car. Thoroughly inspect the wires and connector, see if you can find any damage.

I'm not 100% sure I've been looking at the right connectors or wires.... Does anyone have photos of the Camshaft sensor (or sensors) part of the service manual? I think it's different for the Evo IX w/ Mivec.
