I was quoted about $1000 for a new set of OEM plates. I wish I knew how he got his so cheap. I'd go that route.

I asked what plates are used for the TRE Maxlock.

Per Aaron at tre.

New oem style plates that we modify and give them a rougher surface finish. They are chattery when its brand new for a little while.

FWIW I have a shep 12 plate and it locks up very well. EXTREMELY chattery doing parking lot speed turns but it's not a daily so not a problem for me.

With that said I plan to do an entire drivetrain refresh with TRE next winter. Being semi local is a big plus too.
