GSC Billet Evolution 9 Mivec S2 Camshafts

Is anyone running these yet? Just curious if anyone has installed them any any input. I have been waiting to upgrade cams in my car I have a less aggressive CAM in there now and wanted to upgrade. I like the billet factor since I have seen some casting inssues with some of the cast CAMS..

Assuming these are the same just different materials.. Would be curious to hear some real world input.. Thanks.

Yea its interesting because on their website they only offer billet camshafts now for all models that are larger than stock. We need a vendor to set us straight!

My assumption on this was I have seen issues with not just GSC but some other brands as well with the casting process. I think they moved to billet due to those type of quality issues. Again just my opinion... I am excited to install these :-)

Billet cams are more uniform and stronger. Whereas a camshaft is traditionally a casting with ground lobes, a billet cam is CNC machined entirely from a solid billet. A billet cam is easily identifiable because virtually every square millimeter of the shaft is a shiny, machined surface with none of the rough, cast finish of conventional camshafts.

That's very true Ted I had just installed my GSC s2 cams and they are indeed shiny and the lobes are sharp!!!

Not tuned yet but they idle OK, not as good as my S1's that's for sure.
