Back on subject, I'll be towing the vehicle to an Evo oriented shop within the next few days, and will let you guys know what the problem was/is.

Do you have a reading comprehension problem? He said it's a fresh build. I'm quite sure that isn't the problem.
It's just me but your one picture it looks to be off time but what do I know. Why did he say to run it half advanced? That doesn't make any sense. AFAIK they should be dead on. My intake cam was off by a tooth and it wouldn't idle for crap. It did run but poorly. Both of yours look out.

Good luck though man!

pretty obvious theres no compression...
let us know when you figure it out, im curious as to what is causing zero compression on something so fresh. only thing i can think of is the timing being completely out of wack or someone forgot to install the piston rings.

has it always sounded like that while cranking?

The timing marks are spot on. I pulled the cams from the head with the gears and trigger plates still attached so I assumed I could just install the cams at TDC again because everything would still stay in the same relation as they were when I pulled them. I'm wondering if I accidentally installed the valves backwards.
I installed the rail support, and lower piston ring, and then the upper piston ring was done by a buddy using a feeler gauge because the 87mm piston ring compressor in ARP, and Wiseco were out of stock everywhere I checked for a month. We made sure to orient the ring end gaps positioning differently.

I would assume that if it were my rings that adding oil would at least give me something in the compression test no?

I have a gut feeling thats what my problem is. I took a million build pics but for some reason barely took any of the head portion so I can't even look back and double check.
