Reseating throw out bearing?

I'm reinstalling my trans on my engine and I'm having trouble reseating the throw out bearing. I'm pulling the fork just about as hard as I can and I'm worried about breaking something. Do I just have to put a lot of force on it or is there some trick? Thanks

It is Binding if it takes so much force to "snap" back in.
I found the trans bell housing coming back easier if the back is jacked a bit higher than the front of the car.

I've already got the transmission mounted on the engine & bolted. I'm ready to put everything back in the bay I'm just waiting to get the TOB back on the pressure plate

Take your time man. It is very easy to bind it up. Grease the input shaft going back also.

I placed a deepwell socket over the arm so I had something to hold on to and then gave a mighty tug. This was tob going into a Monoloc. It snapped right in. If that doesn't work I think something is wrong.

It shouldn't be too hard. I've always been able to yank it in place by hand.

I've got the monoloc as well. Does the monoloc go in front of or behind those wavy snap rings? I thought I took it apart with the snap rings between the pressure plate and the monoloc, so maybe that is what I have wrong.

Sorry I didn't use the Monoloc so I can't be certain. I know that with the stock keeper it would not take that much force to "click" in.
Sounds like you have the wave springs in correctly.

Ohhh, are you supposed to put the wedge collar in first? I'm a dummy.
