So has anyone had any issues with losing oil pressure after resealing the oil pan. I have no past oil pressure issues. Other things i changed while i had the car apart was oil filter, type of oil and new turbo kit. I upgraded to a fp black. Any insight, past experiences, or any info of any kind I would appreciate. This has got me baffled. I took the pan back off to make sure i didn't leave a rag or glove in the pan and there was nothibg in there. I was going to clean everything up next and make sure the pick up isn't too close to the bottom of the pan. Which that shouldn't have changed but I'm just going to make sure its ok.

It sounds crazy but I have seen oil filters do this. Try a different filter.

I've actually ran into that issue before with my daily. So i tried a different brand filter on the evo before i dropped the pan and that didn't change anything. I even took the filter of and cranked it and and there was nothing coming out of the oil filter housing.

Well, I don't see a connection between dropping the pan and losing all oil pressure. It has to be something else.

Ya I'm stumped so far. I just put the pan back on i did find that the pick up was only half the distance it should have been from thbottom of the pan. I corrected that and was going to give it another try shortly.

Does the oil light go out during cranking when it has enough oil pressure? Also when taking the plug out of the oil filter housing where the oil feed line is connected to for the fp black do you have to do anything with the oil system afterwards?

The light goes out if you crank it enough to get the pressure up, Did you remove the pickup or no? How are you monitoring oil pressure?

I did not take the pick up off but i did have the pan off for a couple weeks if that makes a difference. I'm monitoring oil pressure by the oil light and i also have the oil feed line disconnected which is plummed right off of the oil filter housing. Im getting a mechanical gauge tomorrow to help monitor the pressure.

Well i figured out what happened. Luckily it was an easy fix. The oil pump had just lost prime from the pan being off for so long. What i ended up doing to fix it was taking the oil filter off and using my little vaccum pump to suck the oil back up through the pick up and into the oil pump. It didnt take much vaccum at all. Ive got plenty of oil pressure now! Thanks for your guys suggestions.
