FP Oil Line and Engine failure

Hello EvoM. I'll try to keep this short. Last year my motor jumped timing and everything was toast. I finally have everything on its way to finish getting rebuilt. However, I am wondering if I need to replace the FP oil filter housing kit that came with my JB FP Black? I will be replacing other things such as the OEM oil pickup tube and the oil cooler, but this I am unsure of?

Would anyone be able to be of some help? I think I have all the bases covered otherwise, but is there anything else I should look to replace? Thanks in advance!

It would be highly recommended to clean out the filter at a minimum. For $250 and peace of mine it wouldn't hurt to just replace it.

FP sells replacement filter elements for a very reasonable price. However a timing belt that jumped there is no need to replace anything oil related unless it was caused by a bad bearing or oil pump locking the motor.

The motor was destroyed and valves broke into pistons. There was a lot of debris.

I would also replace the oil pump/ front cover, and flush out both of the oil cooler lines while you have the old one out to be on the safe side.

A replacement filter cost $2.50 from FP.
