The code is for the fuel pressure solenoid. When the solenoid shuts off it puts out a 2 volt signal that the ECU looks for. So, it is just a (is the solenoid there?) sort of test. And it should not affect driveability, it is only for hot start.

So. wiring or the solenoid itself should be suspect. The thing is, this code pops up from time to time for seemly no reason. I have never seen a fix for when this occurs.

Good info man. It's just annoying because I need an inspection sticker and I keep clearing it but it just comes back on. And the solenoid is still in the car.

If repair is unsuccessful maybe your tuner can make the ECU forget the car has a fuel pressure solenoid.

My buddy is having issues with the P0090 as well but this was caused from the wrong wire being plugged into the fuel pressure solenoid. We shut off the code in the ECU and as of right now the readiness tests are coming back in ready status which was a concern since I think disabling the P0090 also kills EGR and EVAP. He's going to get a sticker either today or tomorrow and keeping my fingers crossed he doesnt gat flagged and sent to a MAC center.

But I will update this thread with the results and if it worked then I can help you disable the code

Just wanted to come back in here with an update. Not sure if you got this sorted out but we were able to delete p0090 without killing both EVAP and EGR so my buddy was able to get a sticker. If you are still struggling PM me and I'll see if I can help you out.
