handbreak button

hey i got a query about removing the handbreak button?
how do you remove the handbreak button?


i tried to put on my sparco handbreak grip/cover on. its chrome. anyway i did the main part but dont know how to remove the old button that sits there. do i wind it off. i tried everything. has it been screwed on ??

yea how do you get it off?> i got a ichibahn handbrfake, shiftknob, pedals but havent installed them yet so howd you get to where your at so far?

um. the grip was real easy to get off. it was real hot that day so i just pulled it off by using all my power and moving it from side to side. took about 30 seconds !

it dosnt look complete with the old button though ...

well seeing that you drive a 93 lancer gli in australia... and i drive a 2002 lancer in the u.s. there might be a difference in what im talking about lol.... neway thanx
p.s. my cousin lives in australia i believe in melbourne or adelaide if he moved... drives a skyline gtr 34 hehehe im going there soon just to drive better cars!

Cnile, Evoposer is right. All you have to do is pull on it hard. Where the grip part meets the rest of the Ebrake stick a screwdriver (with the tip well covered by a cloth), and break up the glue, thats holding the two pieces together. then, give a nice hard pull, and it should come off pretty easily.

the button is tricky... but the button on the new handbreak i got(sparco chrome one) dosnt have a huge hole. its a button that must be screwed on cause there is a little skinny long hole. so the old one must be screwed on. ive tried stacks of tools to get it off but all i do is ware off the old one !
