.50 Oversized Rod Bearings?

I just got my crank back from the machine shop. After buying STD size bearings and .25 size over. The guy tells me I need .50 over because the crank was scratched. I can't seem to find these for the 4g63, I found them for every other car.

Is there a reason that these aren't sold for the Evo?

Because racecar?

Not sure if it helps. I have a 05 with ACD had a rod bearing failure.

Just to clarify. I'm not asking if I can get some half inch rod bearings.. It is .50mm. or 0.02in

Thanks!

You would have to call and clarify what ".50 over" means. Could be 50 thou, which is .050", or it could be .50mm. Only your machinist knows at this point lol. Hopefully he didn't go .050", because then you just paid to have a brand new paper weight machined lol

Either way, I think the only over sized bearings are .010"/.25mm or .020"/.5mm..

Just called again. He said again it is .50mm and he is going to find them for me as I told him not to go over .25mm. No point in saving the crank if they don't make bearings.

Clevite makes them, and so does ACL in the standard aluglide (not race trimetal) bearings..
