has ne one on here installed an ikeya shifter and had it work for them ,im think about buying on but no one seams to have ne real feedback on these

 

You running a dog box? Don't even think about this shifter unless you are, you will destroy your synchro tranny with it.

 

Friend has this in his 6.5 TME.. it has fantastic and works very well. Have heard about syncro issues, realistically wouldn't be surprising long term but so far has gone OK for him after 2-3 years but it does not get driven daily.

 

Thanks for the info guys ,iam Goin to use a faceplate transmission with the shifter ,it's basically a different type of synchro and can b use clutch less .not recommended but can b done .

 

face plate is basically a dog engagement setup.


I don't see why the Ikea shifter would ruin synchro's anymore than an Hpattern shifter. As long as you properly use the clutch while shifting it should be fine..
