test pipe
My friend went to a muffler shop and measure that cat and its 2.9 inch. The cat itself is pretty high flow.
Go with 2.5 dp, stock cat, 3 in exhaust. U'll only gain 10 hp or so with a test pipe untune of course, its not worth the risk if your in california.

Who came up with this invention LMAO!!!
How hard is it to swap the stock cat for a test pipe? I am still debating a hi-flow vs a test pipe and there are yearly smog tests here in TX, but if it is easy to swap the stock cat then I might just swap it out each year.
What do y'all think? hi-flow or test?

And there isn't any noticable smell either.
I had been around cars with just the test pipe, and I just couldn't do it. My eyes were watering.
I believe Al said he found the 3" UR cat and a test pipe to be so similar in HP gains that it
wasn't worth running the testpipe on the street.

I'd like to have the more hp, but I'd rather be legal and safe and all that jazz.

I don't feel so bad about running a testpipe after I drive behind a bus or dumptruck that spews clouds of toxins on each shift. Plus I just planted a few trees that should more than make up for it
Sorry to have to tell you this but the majority of diesel emisions are CARBON. It settles to the ground. It's main polution are NOX emissions, and not nearly as much as a gasser.

If they do a visual it doesn't look like a cat at all. That said a cat doesn't belong on one of these motors.
