Exedy triple problem need insite
I'm sure the clutch disc springs do help quell engine oscillations, but their primary function is to stop chatter on clutch take up. Right when the pressure plate begins to push the disc against the flywheel, it doesn't slide like we like to think. In most assemblies it actually is quickly grabbing fully and then slipping loose, over and over, until the pressure is high enough to prevent the slip. That can make a lot of noise, and the springs help that and the hammering effect it can pose on the transmission input shaft. Appearantly the Exedy triple can't handle the engine harmonics, clutch chatter, and possible clutch release issues all mounting up against it. It kinda makes sense (in my head) that a new clutch would be more susceptible to the release issue, seeing as how everything is as thick as it will ever be, requiring a high amount of release movement to get the individual clutch components the space they need to move freely. More discs, more total space required. In any case, your clutch needs help, right?! Please keep us updated to what Exedy says/does.
I just got my trans off today. I am running annexed your triple. It's got about 5k miles on it now, I'm not seeing any issues like the op is seeing. A relief for myself, as ever since I saw this thread I was starting to worry lol.

Do you have the balance shaft delete, out of curiosity? One example does not a concencus make, but it's better than none!
