I heard that you cannot convert the exedy triple to cerametallic? Why not? Or is it possible?
I thought you can just change the disc? I like to keep my exedy but I see a lot of people here are using quarter master 8 leg.
I dd the car and I'm not sure if the QM will last long like the exedy?

I have the same exedy triple cf and see no problems to convert it to ceramic.

Then a vendor lied to me. He said it cannot be converted to cerametallic at all. Lol (I won't mention his name and co. But he is a vendor here)

ceramic twins and triples are 200mm.
carbon plates 225mm.

thickness of discs is not the issue.

dont know where you got that but its incorrect.
there are no spring damper discs for the triples. either type.
the carbon discs are 225mm. thats why no one has ever converted a triple or twin carbon to ceramatalic. parts numbers to do it would have been posted right away.
http://www.rhdjapan.com has disc diameters posted

page 48

exedy twin carbon come can come as either sprung centre 225mm, or solid centre 200mm.

exedy triple carbon comes in solid centre, 200mm disc.

It's all in the catalogue, off the Exedy USA website.

oops my bad. there seems to be a mistake on rhdjapan site. they dont have a 200mm carbon listed for the twins. both solid center and sprung are listed at 225mm. I thought they did away with the smaller 200mm carbon.

so maybe the 200mm carbon clutches can be converted to ceramic.
