Question EVO 7 Engine ticking

Hello guys !

In first sorry for my english because I'm french ...

So, I have a problem on my EVO7 . I heard a ticking from the top of the engine, hydraulic lifters are brand new. Oil is new, injectors are ok , the tension of the timing belt is good, I have take off the accessories belt to be sure there isn't the alternator or other thing like that and I have take of all of the protections of the timing belt,

I precise that the engine is rebuilt, it only have 200km and the noise appeared when I was driving slowly on the highway .

So if you have any idea please help me because here in France nobody knows what can it be ! . Thank you !!

THE LINK OF THE YOUTUBE VIDEO OF THE NOISE !

One of the things I notice about the 4G63 engine is that various things wrong all seem to make the same noise. But, to me, it doesn't sound like a lifter.

I see the timing cover is off. Make sure the hydraulic tension isn't failed.

Other than that I'm thinking it is something in the block.

For me it's not a lifter too. The noise is variable, sometimes you don't ear anything. At idle for example but sometime you ear it at idle .. That's why I don't think it's an internal problem, because it's not cyclic

Yes the hydraulic tensioner is in great position, the timing tension is good.

Pull the plug wires/coils one by one and see if the sound lessens with any one.

The sound is definitely like tensioner!

Please check it out...ensure it stiff.

If Tensioner is not it, than rocker...perhaps.
But I definitely see correlation between engine RPM change and noise, consistent with belt tension change...

Take this seriously, as failure will cause valves and pistons to collide.
