Tomei Expreme Turbine Outlet V2

Is anyone running this O2 housing and downpipe?

I have seen threads about the old V1 that was 2.5in. The new V2 is a 3in piece, at a good price.

Is anyone experiencing any boost creep issues on a stock turbo with this part?

Also curious to hear owners opinions on this piece.

I ended up purchasing this combo from rally sport direct . From the looks my forum search no one has any threads about version 2 on an evo 8 or 9. Ill make sure to post some pictures of the build quality when it arrives.

JMFab offers the same thing with a divorced wastegate tube, available in open dump or recirculated, and it uses a Vband where the O2 housing and downpipe meet instead of the 2 bolt flange. The one I installed needed a flex section put into the down pipe to work. Was easy for a local exhaust shop to do. Other than that its a nice part.

Yeah but $635 (JMF) vs $495 (Tomei), is it worth the extra $140?

You had to put a flex section in a tomei or JMF downpipe?

EDIT: Judging by the pictures of the JMF downpipe, I assume youre talking about that one. Thanks for the input, but you didnt answer any of my questions. Im not concerned with the JMF pipe, unless you have had both on your evo and are making a comparison.

You already bought it, so whatre you asking? Tomei makes nice stuff, so you'll be fine there. And its a recirculated wastegate design, so its not going to creep, not that the stock turbo ever really creeps.

Extra $140 for the JMFab was worth it because it has a vband connection, and external dump.

I have the Tomei V1 / full system and back pressure was 38psi at 30psi of boost on a Red . I also made over 600whp on that same combo so even the V1 is fine. I've never had any issues with leaking and I've done handfuls of track days. I've replaced the gasket one time in 3 years after having the system off a few times to be on the safe side.
I think the design of the Tomei system is one of the reasons it sounds good IMO. They know what they are doing over there.

Open dump isn't for everyone. Things get pretty loud for street use and attention from the man.

One of the Supra's here makes 1300whp with recirculated wastegates and the biggest TRD muffler made.

Looking forward to the V2 pics and you will be happy with the performance and fit. Sidenote the V1 system came with really nice Wrap but the V2 does not. If you are concerned with oil and Tcase temps I'd recommend getting this wrap or equivalent.

My stock turbo creeps on a stock downpipe and o2 housing. I did some research on here and found that other brands recirculated o2 housing still had creep issues. I was interested to hear if anyone has experienced creep on the tomei v2. I understand I bought it, if it creeps or not the part is going on my car. My end game was to see if I was going to need to port the turbine housing when I installed the downpipe.

External dumps do make power but I had one on my DSM with a big turbo and I wasn't a big fan of the noise. So with the evo I wanted to switch it up and keep it more refined. And the sound of the dump doesn't over power the sound of spooling

What does it creep to? If it's creeping to 20psi, that's really how much boost it should be making out the top if you want to make as much power as you can.

What wastegate actuator is on it? I've never tuned a 9 that had boost creep with the stock actuator.

Looks like a nice piece from Tomei with the larger diameter. I've had the V1 for more than 5 years and it's still going strong. No issues with creep with a BBK turbo.

As promised, here are the pictures of the v2. All the welds look great, and they did some finishing work with a grinder on the inside of the welds. Great looking piece!
