Rod bearing question. Using half/half bearings.
My rod bearings are at .0020" for clearamces on my 2.4 and I'm at 770awhp. I bought a set of .0001 looser bearings and a set of standard so I could get .0025 clearance. I was wondering do I put the looser bearing into the rod cap or the rod itself or does it even matter?
Thanks

It's doesn't matter which side they go on, as long as they're all on the same side. As in, all the standards in the cap, and all the undersize in the rod. Or vice versa. But .002 is fine for clearance. I'd leave it. It's only a 1.77" journal, so you're already a touch over the .001" of clearance per inch of journal. You're good to go for big power IMO. I would probably just run a 15w50 or 20w50 oil.
