Main bearings and rod bearing gone... :(

Well after lots and lots and lots of $ $ $
My mains and rod bearings are destroyed also the side of the BC pro rods were grinding into the crank B&M machine did the machine work and didn't check clearance on the crank and rods and mains...looks like they just cut the bearings to get it to fit the crank and see if the crank would turn. So ive got Lucas at English Racing takeing the motor out and sending it to his machine guy. I know that Lucas mainly works on 4g63 and has a awesome reputation

But the money and time ive put into getting this done right just got pissed down the drain. Well another 4 weeks and ill be back up and running and $4000 later
I dont know if i need to hit the bottle tonight or just go to bed. Depressing....

Yup all the stuff from the bearings was going into the lifters... only 1500 miles on the motor. Ive done my best and havent gone cheap on one thing. but o well i should have did more research on builders and machine shops.
My tapping noise didnt happen till after the first dyno pull or real load on the motor.

Well we don't want to point fingers yet untell we get everything totaly apart and check things out. Which should be done buy Tursday.

I know side play on the rods is to tight and that is why the thrust side of the rod is chewed up.

I think the stock lifters took a crap do to metal from the bearings geting into the lifters.

I'm really sorry to hear of your misfortune. Lucas is a great choice for straightening out your situtation. I'm wondering how your clearances were off with brand new rotating parts from the same supplier. Guess that will be a topic of discussion somewhere soon.

So im going back to a 2.0 but sticking with bc pro rods and cp pistons. Im just going to drag the car most of the time so it will work out good. The BC crank is 102mm which is a huge stroke and limits my revs by alot.
Anyone else running the bc 102mm crank? I would love to know what there input is and there luck with it has been
