blown head gasket??

If the top radiator hose is hot, the tsat is flowing some coolant. The lower shouldn't be "cold" though. That indicates the tstat is restricting flow. Good bet that's the issue.

He has alot of evo at the shop there man, i don't like throwing ppl under the bus bro, i am changing out the thermostat see how it goes.

The thermostat housing contains two temperature sensors, one for the gauge and one for the ECU. Before doing anything I'd suggest checking if both are reading hot. You could have a gauge problem.

I order the thermostat already not that expensive, however will have him check on that while we r in there .

Also how do you test them to know if they are both reading hot??

Look at the gage for one. Evoscan or any scanner with live data for the other. When I said don't do anything before checking both temperature sensors I meant something major. Do the thermostat but there have been instances where the gage read hot and nothing was wrong except a ground was disconnected on the engine.

So update guys!! WE changed the thermostat today and overheating is gone.
What a relief, thanks to you guys here that i followed my mine and advice here and got a second person to check my car. I am so happy i didnt had to go and take my head off without changing the simple things and i was pretty darn determine to get a second opinion . Thanks again guy for your input in my situation appreciate yall .I hope someone can learn here from my experience and follow through before just taking one person word for it.

I have a friend who used to own a Stealth 2000 with a V6 engine. Anyway the shop had diagnosed his overheating problem and said he needed both headgaskets replaced. Big bucks. I told him to try a thermostat first and that fixed it. He was one happy fellow.
