I understand,

But why would you want to? Why is it offered? What is the proposed benefit of using it?

So the intake creates the vacuum.... and it pulls from the valve cover.

So you believe a ~500hp fp Red setup should be fine with a single port?

High hp guys may benefit from dual?

Thanks

During normal driving the PCV valve creates the vac via the intake manifold. The vent in front of the turbo supplies fresh air TO the valve cover. It's an inlet.
Once you get on boost, the PCV valve closes and the pressure differential pushes gasses OUT of the vent line into the turbo inlet.

You'll be fine with one port.

The single port can also has the fitting on it already for the additional line, STM just supplies a cap for it. So you can add the other line later if for some reason you think you need to.

Has anyone had fitment issues with the STM catch can mounting to the 6 speed? I don't seem to have enough clearance with my aftermarket Megan radiator

Did you order the 6 speed specific one?

I did, the bolt pattern lines up just fine but it looks like I need about a centimeter more clearance that isn't available because of the thicker radiator.

Get a CSF Slim rad with slim fan and you'll be all set. Ditch the China garbage radiator

I know that I am bumping a year old post, but did you resolve this issue? I've got a Mishimoto full size and I am concerned I will have this issue as well. Hate my Mishimoto - cools great but it's thick as hell. Wish I had gone with a stock replacement from STM or the CBRD slim rad.

For those that have the "sealed" can, here's what the inside looks like. No mesh, wool, or filters of any kind. This is why my oil turned water'y when I started using the "intake pipe". Also in this configuration it fills up every session. 3x 6an ports on the other side.

6an lines are why it filled up. 6an doesn't move enough volume. The pressure pushes oil out.

Has anyone ever ran this PCV valve from Radium on a set up like this https://stmtuned.com/products/radium...rb-to-3-8-barb . My front Valve cover hole is drilled out and i need a bigger catch can. I was thinking about running that PCV valve and then running the other side back into the intake manifold like the OE valve.
I just don't want the 10 an to over power the system or give me other issues. STM has not ran this one they did say the vibrant PCV valve was pulling to much vacuum. I just like the idea of the intake line with a sealed can. If this wont work i will just look for a fat house fab can.

whats the issue youre trying to address? The PCV is a boost blocker and also some idle air source (at vaccum), if youre sticking with the system mitsubishi gave you. you cant really "overpower" the stock PCV. With it, the increased hose diameter (1 normally, 2 if youre creative) only works for boost/crank case ventilation
