I believe I have the engagement issue noted here.

My question is, it's probably time for a clutch refresh anyway - which plates would I want to replace if I were to do so, specifically to address the issue above - friction plate and floater plate? which plates do i get? which ones are the SD version, which I think may be more appropriate for me?

 

SD vs HD is just the clamping force of the diaphragm.

You need both clutch discs, the floater plate, and the pressure plate ring.

Yup...lol. And a competent machine shop should be able to turn the fly wheel on a lathe. Although it's not really need unless yours is badly grooved since your staying with the same friction material. I would PM MAP on here. They seem to usually do a bit better than the pricing on their site.
