AIR FUEL RATIOS and other questions

I

wanted to get an answer about my location for where the air/fuel gauge is reading, its right before test pipe.
Am I getting correct readings from here? I heard is should be top of downpipe right after header.

Here<br/>

You should be fine. You want to read mixture not temperature.

I think you made some confusion with EGT gauges whose probes must be as close as possible to the exhaust ports to get actual readings.

okay thanks, another question is my car is throwing a p0401 egr code.
i fixed all the vacuum lines and it still came back on.

Obviously EGR sucks and i should get rid of it, getting all my info from https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-canister.html

Is it worth it to get the (Tactrix?) cable that allows me to be able to tune the car?
Like would it be fairly simple for me to turn the EGR off myself?

You really should look into the problem first:
A code P0401 most likely means one or more of the following has happened:
•The DPFE (differential pressure feedback EGR) sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced
•There is a blockage in the EGR (tube), most likely carbon buildup
•The EGR valve is faulty
•The EGR valve may not be opening due to a lack of vaccuum
That's rt from the web. wouldn't take a couple of hrs to check the operation and clean it out--before you start to dismantle the system-- will likely be a bigger problem as you chase related disconnects the ecu is logging. Sure you can turn it off--it still doesn't address the bigger issue of whats wrong and why. Good luck. .

The code read off P0401 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Insuffient
Okay well why i have the attention here
I bought the car with these mods:
Downpipe with full HKS HiPower exhaust
Unnamed slightly bigger intercooler
Dejon airintake
AEM A/F gauge
autometer boost gauge
and a homemade DIY manual boost controller

Car was down for blown motor for 2 years and just got it back a few weeks ago.
ive noticed since i got it back the BOV flutters more every shift and at WOT shift it
makes a sharp sound with more flutter and it didnt do that before.

its recirculated so thats not the issue.
When the code for p0401 i checked it out and a vacuum line came off the egr valve.
i deleted the code and ran it for a day and end of day it came back on.
checked it all out and all the lines were good.

Just trying to figure out what to do from here.
I am going to run a leak test and most likely replace all vacuum line this weekend.
ill probably start by cleaning the EGR valve though.
Any suggestions?

Oh i did notice im missing the PCV fitting completely on my valve cover the one closest to battery,
just and open hole on my valve cover right now. Could this cause issues?
It didnt have any codes thrown when it was just a breather filter attached to it before it blew.
They just gave it back with it missing though....
