Rear wheels only turning when car off ground?
Had car on lift and noticed when in gear and driving onlyw the rear wheels are turning? What would cause this?its a evo vii

Can you spin the front wheels by hand? You need a friend to help with this so you can spin both in the same direction at the same time.

I have nobody to help at the minute but i presumed all four wheels should be rotating when i drive in 1st gear?

Yes, they should. But trying to spin them by hand may help indicate where the problem is if you can hear noises that shouldn't be there.

In this case, noises inside the transfer case.

Try the front left side wheel. Check how easily it spins.
