ACD Question

I recently swapped a 5 speed in my 9 mr car rides smooth. There is no t case whine or anything. All 3 ACD lights are on. Before the swap only 1 light was lit and I was able to to go through all 3 modes perfectly fine. Can anyone chime in on why all 3 lights are on?

Was the ACD line disconnected from the tcase during the trans swap?

Nope, but the front diff will effectively be an open diff instead of limited slip.

Not the front diff. The center diff. And yes, it can cause damage. Unplug the ACD ECU or the pump so that it doesn't try to run with air in the fluid, or possibly no fluid..

I drove the car today for a bit. Turn on the car the acd light came on and only one light was lit. After about 3 minutes of idling ( I always let the car warm up before I take off) all 3 acd lights came on. I know letsgetitdone said to bleed the system. I will try it when I get an extra hand but any other idea other than there is maybe air in the system?

That's classic air in the system. It turns on, no issues from bad sensors or the pump motor being broken and not running. Tries to run the pump to build pressure, pressure doesn't build because of air, throws the lights on.

You don't need an extra hand, get a vacuum bleeder (even the hand pump ones work fine), and hook it up to the bleeder on the bottom of tcase and pull the fluid through. It's how I bleed mine, and it always works fine.

I wish I could do that but I don't have any of the tools. I was going to do it the old fashion way. Turn the key to on the position and floor the gas pedal and have another person loosen the bolt

You can buy a hand operated vacuum bleeder at Autozone or Oreilly's for $30...
