Wastegate actuator arm snapped!

This is a HKS GTII 7460 turbo on my EVO 8, can I have this welded? Will other wastegate actuator fit? Please advice, thank you.

If you have this part feel free to contact me, thanks.

I wouldn't try to weld the actuator rod. You have two options: 1) order a replacement actuator from HKS or 2) die cut a thread onto the broken end of the actuator arm, and get a longer turnbuckle made up to fit which maintains the same overall length.

the same thing happened to me on my tomei arms m7960....instead of the actual arm, the part that mounts to the flapper valve sheared off....what a POS. try contacting HKS usa, im sure they will be able to assist you in getting a replacement.

Jus pull the turbo off and have the rod welded together. It'll work fine.

Hey thanks for the advice, I was thinking about welding it, but some suggest not to. I think welding is strong enough.

You'll want to make sure its welded to a length that allows you to have some preload. Don't just weld it while its attached to the flapper because it will cause it to blow open slightly and hurt spool.
