Gauge help --- please
No i go the AN style adapter for the return side of the stock fuel rail from lancershop.com and the aeromotive fuel pressure regulator. The fuel pressure regulator has a inlet for a gauge or a sending unit for a in car fuel pressure gauge. Also had to get some additional fittings and steel braided line for it to work.
BTW, I think vivid sales that same piece that pruven sales. You might want to give them both a call instead of a e-mail, you'll get a quicker response.

I want to thank David and Dan at Buschur. They were both very helpful with my entire order especially the gauges. They are first class people and they run a first class shop.
My car is finsihed now and I will be picking it up tomorrow. I am so excited and can hardly wait. Complete stage 4 with cams and ECU flash. It is about 3.5 hours up to Buschur from here and you can bet the anticipation will make the drive seem like a week.
So as you can tell from reading the previous posts that I did not get the fuel pressure gauge installed. As David explained in his post I need a fuel rail or fuel pressure regulator in order to do the install correctly. So now I am on a mission to find one of those parts. Any suggestions on which one is best? Pros and cons of each?
thanks,
-Doug

Hey chicken you're gonna have to give me a ride in that beast now that its done
Let me see what the guys from Pruven say. They have a $79 adapter that fits on the stock rail and has a built-in port for a pressure gauge. Of course if you want to go the upgraded rail or FPR route, you can always do that as well

StreetPowerEvo,
Think I am going to go with the FPR - that is what Dan from Buschur resommend. I am going to look around for one on Monday.
Oh - and you are welcome to take a ride anytime. It is so much faster now it is amazing. I did not expect this much of a change and am just as happy as can be. David and Dan and the rest of the crew at Buschur really know their stuff.

Installing the fuel pressure gauge on the EVO without an aftermarket fuel rail that has a port on it or an aftermarket regulator with a port is a big NO-NO. There is NO way of safely installing a fuel pressure gauge on the EVO, with the stock fuel components in place.

Pruven Performance sells an adaptor flange that bolts up to the end of the stock fuel rail and allows you to add things like a pressure gauge, nitrous lines, secondary fuel delivery lines, etc. I bought one for my car when I installed the fuel pressure gauge. Look on their website and find the underhood fuel pressure gauge kit. You can buy the flange without the gauge. It's a 2 bolt install.
As for the oil pressure, Z-1 Auto sells an adaptor that goes in between the oil filter and the engine block. That might work for you as well. Hope this helps point you in the right direction.
