Hooptie - the best is a very relative thing.

The ACT will hold the kind of power you mention, but it's a different animal altogether, and is a clutch only, not a clutch and flywheel like the Cusco is.

The Cusco has easily been the most popular setup for us, and everyone who has purchased one has had great things to say about its combine ability to hold gobs of power, but be very easy to drive.

The HKS "used" to be the best deal going (had a street price of around 1200), but then they raised pricing...now it's not the relative bargain it once was.

Hi everyone: I have used three clutch on my Evo VIII. The first one I tried was the clutchmaster stage 3. Was good but not enough. The second one was the cusco twin plate that was on my car for almost two month until the center clip that holds the throw out bearing pop out. We put the clip back again and pop out at the next day. Yesterday I put the third clutch an ATS dual carbon disc which at this time I like the most. The only thing I don't like is that this clutch make more noise when you take off the gas pedal with the gear in. What I like the most of this clutch is that I don't have to think that the clutch would pop out never again.
For the person who ask if the cusco clutch was properly installed? to my concer the clutch was properly intalled, it hold a lot of abuse for almost two month in a car tha should have around 410 - 425whp.

Anyone has pictures of a dis-assembled ATS Twin Carbon Clutch?
I am wondering if it is a carbon on carbon clutch or carbon on metal clutch. Are the clutch discs as well as the wear plates made of carbon?

Cheers
Dennis

The ATS is a carbon on metal clutch.

The only carbon-carbon that I am aware of is the Clutchmasters one, which sells for around $3500 US
