Turbo porting and polishing, how high grit?

I'm working on a turbo, just the hot side and I've read conflicting things...one that says the intake side cannot be too smooth, but the exhaust side can be smoother. others say it should stop @ 120 grit. anyone know which is which?

what you wrote is correct...even 120 grit is super smooth on metal its not like wood.

You can never be to smooth on the hot side. I wonder if it matters on the cold side. Usually people say that about the intake ports on the head to make sure the fuel atomizes correctly but never heard about it on the cold side.
