Head gasket thickness and OEM vs Aftermarket

Hello

Sad the my engine went out @ 104K miles.. windowed

So, ordered new OEM Block and stock bores wiseco and manley etc etc..

My questions:

1. Do i need to machine my cylinder head? Didn't do damage in my cylinder head By the way.

2. If ok to slap the cylinder head back, what head gasket is better? OEM?

Thanks

1. No unless the head is not straight.
2. OEM is fine and good quality. If you needed to go thicker for whatever reason there's plenty of good options. If you have doubt just talk to the machine shop about the specs.

After my headgasket blew I used oem with arp headstuds.
