C16 vs Q16 vs M1 vs E85

C16 vs Q16 vs M1 vs E85

Hi guys, need some help picking which fuel would be best for my application.

I currently run E85 on the street, but I plan on doing some half mile events soon and the idea of using pump E85 at the track doesn't sit well with me, mostly due to its inconsistency in quality depending on the season, station, etc.
So I want to get a 2nd map for a race fuel.

I'd also like to run #5-10 more at the track(currently 25psi, 550hp), so the higher octane of the other fuels is appealing. I understand C16 is leaded, so i'm shying away from it since the O2 sensors won't like it...

So I guess that leaves Q16 & M1, thoughts?

Currently running dual FB-290s and FIC 2150s, so delivery won't be an issue.
Although I've heard the spray patterns on the 2150s is optimal for alcohol based fuels(higher flow rate), so not sure if I should take that into consideration.

q16 and c16 is leaded and contains mtbe, the mtbe will destroy ur injectors and the lead ur cat and o2 sensors over time. y not buy vp e85?

When you say "track", I assume you mean drag strip? If not, I'm not sure I'd recommend that much boost, due to stress on the turbo.

i'm uncatted. Ah I didn't know q16 is leaded as well.
my tuner informed me that I don't have enough pump or injector for M1, even with my dual hanger and 2150s...
yeh vp e85 might not be a bad option, or E98 if I can find it..

half mile roll event. 4 passes max.
I don't intend on launching the car. Too much power for the stock Tcase & tranny, my triple disk would wreak havoc on the drivetrain.

If you want race fuel quality, Ignite is a great option for ethanol race fuels.

E98, E85 mixed with racegas (C16 for 2150s), then lower concentrations down to about E50R (C16 in the E98), then pump E85. A mechanical, x8 2150s, and a standalone and M1 or M5 is the best way to go though. It just requires 100% more fuel than gasoline based fuels.

I'll prob go with one of these. I ran the idea by my tuner and he said my tune was so conservative that the ethanol content would hardly matter....although I'm a bit skeptical.
On 1/2 mile passes i'll be shifting into 5th, I would think that any detonation in that gear would be catastrophic, so I'm thinking i'd go with at least E-98

You could (should) test your pump Ethanol. If you're tuned on E80, and end up with anything over E70, it's really going to be fine, as long as your tuner isn't trying shove every last degree into it. Which, for a 1/2 mile car he shouldn't really be doing.
