Please keep us posted!

I have a 99 GSX I'm building for road racing track days and street sweeping...

I have a virgin 99 4G63 and a virgin 99 4G64 I can build.

I can't decide which to build, a LR2.4L or a 94mm stroker....

I'm building a drag car with the Talon. I'm just doing a standard 2.0 for it.

He just got it on the dyno. Makes 520whp and 400ft/lbs of torque at 28lbs. He's going to run more boost but keep torque down as it's a stock block (lame I know). Also, boost threshold is a bit high because of the 1.22 housing (I told him it would), so he's considering moving down a size or two in A/R. I'll try and get a graph for you guys.

Excellent!
Looks like a consolidated runner T4 top mount.
Interested to see to boost plot or at least know when 28psi is reached.

This is my car with a twin scroll IWG 7163 on pump gas, at a flat 24.5psi. We decided to soften the tq at lower RPM for max safety.

I would still like to drive a well setup FP Red/Green car before making statements, but on the road with this turbo my car is very, very responsive. The dyno only tells part of the story. Also, I like the way my car sounds over the stock frame stuff. A little more even but not raspy.

Sounds pretty good in the videos! I have a thing for how the evos exhaust note sounds lol. Most of the time when you change the manifold the sound changes a lot, sounds more like a boosted honda. This setup sounds pretty good tho!

Looks like full boost by 3600 rpm on the 7163. That s200sxe won’t even be close to that with the 1.22 a/r single scroll. Even a 1.15 a/r won’t touch that on a single scroll manifold. 1.22 is made more for a twin scroll application. M2C

I’ll double check on fuel. Definitely not done tuning.

The 1.22 and 1.15 are twin scroll housings. If you’re talking about the car i posted, it is a twin-scroll manifold. He’s trying to get a hold of a 1.00 I believe.

We can finally put this to rest. I'm doing a stock short block built head, Ported w Kelford 272s, s257sxe open t3 .82 off a tubular ramhorn, I'm shooting for 500whp on e85. It'll be tuned on a mustang dyno so numbers may be low. Neither my tuner nor the shop whos installing it believe it will happen since they're used to the older box charger sx series. However I really think that this setup can do it, hopefully it if these numbers show some promise this will turn into a popular option for DSM/Evo guys. It should be getting tuned in a few weeks to a month.

I already did it. Except i have a 2.4 and kelfords 276 cams. Made approx 520hp. On about 32 psi. Ran into back pressure issues though. Was a fun turbo but sold it and went back to my 6466.

I mean't stock bore/stroke stock compression results. Since that's most likely the kind of people that will be using this kind of turbo. It peaks right around the middle to end of the acceptable range of a stock block. I also have the perfect turbine housing size for that goal, and its an open t3 so you can't really get anymore of a baseline that than.

I'm 8.5:1 comp on my 2.4 so thats lower than stock compression and thats the same turbine housing I ran on mine. Only advantage im going to have over a stock bottom end is spool due to the 2.4 and a more aggressive cam setup. Turbo would be prefect for a stock bottom. Spec'd out size wise it is close to a journal bearing fp red. Reminded me a lot of mine old gt3076r. For the price its definitely a fun turbo.
