STM Turbo Oil Drain Line

So I got the STM fittings to do an AN oil drain line on my car. Evo IX with FP71HTA turbo. Just installed a Racefab Wet Sump Oil pan and ran into this issue trying to set up a new return line:

Oil Line Fitting 1

Oil Line Fitting 2

The fitting sits right against the compressor cover. There is no room whatsoever to thread on a -10AN fitting. I've fired an email off to STM, but wondering if anyone else had run into this?

Why not just run a stock line?

Im guessing his Racefab pan has AN fitting for the oil return?

Not sure this would be possible but any chance you can thread on the AN fitting to the adapter and then bolt that to the turbo?

Doesn't mate to the RaceFab Pan.

Looked at this, the two screws to tighten the fitting (10mm socket) become blocked by the AN fitting.

Got this coming:

STM says it fits, I will use a short 1/2 NPT extension and then a 1/2NPT to -10AN adapter. I'll make the extension long enough to get the -10AN fitting below the compressor housing.

Couple of choices there. 1 is to attach the drain line before you attach the compressor cover to the CHRA. Basically it stays with the CHRA at all times, not a huge deal if you're swapping it once a year.

2, is to do what I did, and cut the OEM line on the turbo side just before where it bends, and weld a 10AN bung onto that. Puts it JUST in range of being useful BUT it makes it tight in there so some patience is required upon reinstall. This also makes a pretty leakproof seal since you're using the oem fitting, and it's steel on steel (regardless of gasket)
