I recall Al from dynoflash saying it needs to be tuned to get the proper gains. It may cause you to run lean through the midrange.

as far as it making me run lean.... thats total bs... it seems since the install it has been a rich running pig..... Im really considering going back stock box and filter and going back to the strip and see what i run........ I can do a fairly rough install without to much reverse engineering.......

I'd be interested in what time you would run with the stock box. I'm still stock as far as the intake goes and a mechanic (friend of mine) discouraged me from getting one while a local tune shop recommended the K&N but they need to make money so I don't know.

Good luck with the install.

According to Al, the K&N Typhoon and Aem intakes yield the least hp gain..even when tuned. That is why I went with the proven K&N drop in filter. You see people with nice hp/tq #'s with the drop in.
If you want an open air filter the best intake system to tune seems to be either the HKS or Buschur.
